Letter with signons to president IDB Madeira River

Letter to President of Inter-American Development Bank opposing financing of the Madeira River Hydroelectric and Industrial Waterway Complex in the Brazilian Amazon. Copies are being delivered to the World Bank, the Andean Development Corporation, and private Brazilian banks. Also attached is the letter in Portuguese which was delivered today to the President of the BNDES, Brazil´s national development bank.
 
In all, there were 58 organizational signers from 23 countries. Additional signers and individual endorsers of the letter will be forwarded separately to the IDB.
